Ideas on
the cover.
A magazine cover and an editorial drawing.
Two selections from the retrospective catalogue.

A bold cover turns familiar comic figures into a graphic statement. In Bureaucracy in Space, desks and paperwork orbit through a black sky. These two works show the range of Trenc’s magazine illustration, from saturated colour and printed dots to precise black-and-white drawing.
The cover is issue 568, dated 27 October 1990. The catalogue identifies Bureaucracy in Space as a 1987 illustration for Start. Original cover lettering is preserved in both language versions.
